"If you spend the majority of your days in the company of babies, toddlers, tweens or teens, then your happiness will be directly proportional to your ability to laugh often and enjoy the chaos. The child-rearing years, in particular, are meant to be hectic, playful, and fun!"

First Lost Tooth

Preston lost his first tooth this week! He came running up stairs so excited. He said he was playing his DS and it just popped out. It is had to tell he lost it as the new one was already growing in behind it. The tooth fair brought him a whopping $2.25. Can you believe it? He was a little dismayed as it seems she took his tooth, too. He got an, "I lost a tooth" sticker at school, too.

Clara's ECFE

Clara had her last 0-3 month ECFE class. She has now graduated to 0-10 month class. So sad :( We love going to our ECFE classes! We are on Spring Break now, but will start back up in April. It is so fun to watch the babies grow and flourish each week!

Clara Pics

I love this outfit that Clara got for a gift. It is a cute little Dr. Suess outfit that I just had to take a pic of her in it.

Preston holding Clara. She learned to laugh this week and thinks her brothers are hilarious.

The Many Laker Baker Birthdays

We celebrated Laken's Birthday with the relatives the weekend of Clara's Baptism as her birthday was the very next day. Gammy made this beautiful quilt for her newly pink room. Amy gave her the pretty jewels. She got many generous gifts including: a swimsuit, sleeping bag, Hello Kitty stuff and a piggy bank that Madeline and Constance painted that has sadly broke.

Laken enjoying a pink cupcake.
Then, she received a strawberry shortcake doll swimming pool set from Chrissy and Ben in the mail. She was so excited!

On her birthday we celebrated at home. She had dance that day, so we gave her a new black leotard to wear. She got a new camping air mattress and her brothers gave her this pretend art set for her American dolls.

The very next weekend she had her girlfriends over for a party. Look at the cake she decorated all by herself!

All the girls singing, "Happy Birthday!" She loves her girlfriends!

Again, she received many generous gifts. Lots of Barbies and Strawberry Shortcake sets. She loves this Barbie that is a dog trainer.

Hockey Weekend

Brad being interviewed during the intermission of Chamber Night at the Express Game. The announcer asked him what his hockey resume was. He said, "Thursday night Men's League."

Brad trying to stop some Chamber Members shots. The winner won a sweet Express Jersey. All of us went to the game. Clara slept during the whole thing, even though we sat in the loudest section with air horns and drums. I thought for sure she would be up all night, but she slept 10 hours straight!
Then the next day was Braeden's Parents/Siblings game. This is Preston skating. It won't be long and he will be out there playing squirts. He had so much fun out there!

The Littlest Shamrock

Clara had her 2 month well baby check last Thursday and she is our littlest pea nuckle. Of course shots never are easy no matter how many times we've been through it. Here are her stats:

Weight 11lbs 2 oz - 10%
Height 23 1/2 inches 25%
Head 15 1/2 inches 20%

Since she is only in the 10% Dr. Clubb is going to monitor her for awhile. Also, she only gained a couple of ounces in one weeks time from my check up to her check up. We have to go to the Amazing Newborn Clinic within the next two weeks for weight checks and then a follow-up at 3 months. I'm trying not to stress out and also, prepare myself for the fact that her diet may have to include some or all formula.

Clara's Baptism

Last Sunday we had an awesome day baptizing Clara. Gammy made her the most gorgeous gown. I know it will become a family heirloom and I hope Clara will one day have a daughter that she can pass it down to. Eric Kleven (my brother-in-law) and Sarah Shimek (who was our biggest cheerleader and supporter in our endeavors to have this precious miracle) were Clara's Godparents. Pastor John did a wonderful job in including the other children. Braeden lit the baptismal candle, Preston held the cloth used to dry her head a bit and Laken held the box for the candle. Clara slept the entire time. She looked so peaceful. Then, it was back home for some lunch, more pictures and gifts. We are truly blessed!

Weekend fun

The weekend started off with an Olympics Party for friends and family on Friday. Of course I was busy taking care of the children and Brad was busy entertaining, so not one picture was snapped. The was a whole gaggel of girls running around like princesses and a mean game of hockey outside. Also, so competitive table hockey from Grandpa Dick. Clara even sported some patriotic robeez. Saturday was busy with getting hair done for dance pictures, Braeden's hockey game and then, Laken's actual pictures. Finally, I hockey fundraiser supper in the evening.

Constance loved the bumbo.

Clara loves to be swaddled.
