"If you spend the majority of your days in the company of babies, toddlers, tweens or teens, then your happiness will be directly proportional to your ability to laugh often and enjoy the chaos. The child-rearing years, in particular, are meant to be hectic, playful, and fun!"

Cross Country Race!

Preston wanted to run the cross country race the Thursday of Homecoming!  So, him and I went down to nearby Brooktree Gold Course.  Several of his buddies were running, too.  Here are Jack, Lucas and Preston getting their pre race jitters out.

The race was for students from all 5 elementary schools in town K-6, so there was a lot of competition.

I knew my Pudgie was a fast runner for Washington Elementary school, but I never anticipated this result.  He won the entire thing!  1st place and he didn't even have anyone testing him at the end. Amazing!

Homecoming Parade!

It was the first year Braeden was actually in the Homecoming Parade!  He is serving on the Student Council, as a Freshman, this year and we couldn't be prouder!  He is very suited for this role as I heard at his first parent teacher conference this year!

Braeden is in the black jacket and white stocking hat.  I told him we would be sitting near the end of the parade and he should save some candy for his sisters.  He did not disappoint!
The back of the Student Council float!
Clara was adamant that she needed a big 'Ol' cheer bow to wear for Homecoming.  Mama did her best to oblige!  She, also, had to wear her Vikings cheerleading outfit!  She is wanting to be a cheerleader right now and Mommy is doing her best to embrace that one!
Laken requested a knit headband and some blinged out leggings.  Done!
Check out my new Huskies legwarmers and sequin Husky blue shoes.  Love them!
