Clara's 3 months stats

Clara had her 3 month weight check up the Monday after Easter. Dr. Clubb had put her Zantac for reflux to see if that would make difference in her weight gain. She is a huge puker and she has a hard time sleeping on her back. It seems to be making a difference as she is now in the 50% for weight. She weighed in at 13 lbs 1 oz and made the transition to her 3-6 month clothes. We, also, got her a new bed to sleep in.
It is called the Fisher-Price Newborn rock and play sleeper. She has been sleeping wonderfully in her car seat and even though she slept fantastic in it. I felt so badly for her having to sleep in it. This contraption looks like it is a little more comfortable for her. I'll have to take a photo of her in it someday, until then click on the link above if you want to see what it looks. It is a fun little bed for reflux babies!

Hunting for Eggs

Gammy and Grandpa hosted a fun Easter egg hunt for the kids. Grandpa hid eggs both inside and outside. The kids love Easter egg hunts. They even love getting ready for Easter by randomly hiding Easter eggs for each other in the weeks leading up to Easter.

We celebrated Braeden's birthday with a yummy cake and learned Terry's was the day before his.

The Baskets

The kids of course rose early to check out the goodies the Easter Bunny brought them and then, to find all the eggs.

Like how the boys (Braeden here) wrap themselves in their blankets and carry them around the house with them every morning.

Egg Dyeing

We dyed the eggs on Saturday. Nolan was in on the action, too. I, also, have to make sure everyone gets an even number of eggs to dye. The kids love creating their masterpieces.

Clara wore her bunny dress for the occasion. How yummy is this face?

Clara Lillian meets Grandma Feine

Over spring break the kids and I paid a visit to my Grandpa and Grandma Feine. Clara got to meet and be held by Grandma Feine. But, we came during Grandpa's morning nap, so we'll have to make a return visit so Clara can meet him, too.

Braeden is a decade!

On March 31st our Big Boy turned a decade old! I can't believe he has been in our lives for 10 years. Where has the time gone? I'm sure it is because he is our 1st, but I remember every stage and age of his so vividly. For his birthday he wanted to take his neighborhood friends to Pizza Ranch. What a perfect place for boys of this age group, free video games, all you can drink pop and a buffet to boot. They even played a little happy birthday song medley complete with a cool light show. Pudge thought that was the bomb. He got many a gift cards and a new star wars Wii game from his buddies. Later we had a delicious cookie cake at home. Happy 10th Birthday, Bus!

Weekly Quips

So, we have been bitten by the sick bugs bad. In the last weeks we've been treated for: Lyme's Disease, a virus, pink eye, eye infection and stomach flu. We couldn't even go out for dinner for anniversary yesterday as Laken spiked a temp as high as 103.5 and was puking. Didn't think I should leave the neighbor girl home with Clara for the first time with a sick kid to boot.

Braeden, Preston and Laken have all had their conferences in the last week.

Laken - When quizzed on her full name, she told her teacher it was Laker Baker. I guess we need to stop calling her that and concentrate on Meier. She is completely well mannered and considerate of others. She is starting to tell other kids when things they are doing bother her. Like if they start taking over her puzzle or something. Also, they have a little boy in their class named Thomas who is a kissing bandit.

Preston - Got all pluses the highest grade you can get in K. He can write numbers to 162 and the goal is only 20. He knows all of his sight words. His teacher just retired due to health reasons, so will not be finishing up with him. So sad :( But, she wrote these kind words: Preston is Awesome!! He is very mature-leader-very cooperative. He has a lot of friends and loves his buddies! He is very polite and sensitive. Preston is very attentive in large group. He is a great large group participator. He even gets disappointed if I don't call on him. Keep it up Preston.
We are considered an option called looping for him next year. It is were the teacher you have for 1st grade, moves up with you to 2nd grade, too. If anyone has any experience with this, let us know.

Braeden - Got all As. His only B was art, which I was never good with either. So a B is fabulous in my book. He also got an A in turning in his homework assignments. His orchestra teacher would like to see him take advanced private lessons this summer.

I'm so proud of them all! Fantastic work guys! You're in the home stretch. Keep it up!!

March birthdays at the Kleven's

So March is the Birthday month for my family. Laken's, Eric's, Madeline's, my Dad's and Braeden's in that order. The Kleven's decide to host us all in their new starter mansion. This place is huge! And, the get wild turkeys and deer in their backyard. Everyone had fun playing wii, dart ball, eating, drinking and eating some more. Unfortunately, I picked up a tick from their house (I blame it on their dog) my Dad removed it and by Monday afternoon I was down and out. Called the nurse line on Monday. I was told to come in and was put on a potent antibotic for two weeks to be treated for Lyme's disease. I had severe muscle aches. It first their was a dispute as to whether I could nurse while on it. I was first told I would have to pump and dump for two weeks! Like that would have happened. But, both the Dr and Pharmacy found were it is passed into the milk, but is safe. Thank God! The worst part was Brad worked until 9:30pm the next day when I felt at my worst and the kids were all home on spring break. This is why I am forever saying, "Mom's can not be sick." Then, Brad was down and out for about a week with some sore throat virus and Laken contracted pink eye.

Clara Lillian meet Leola Lillian

My Granny Hinckley got to meet Clara for the first time. I think they really enjoyed each other. Her Mom's name was Clara (who bore an insanely amount of children and they had two houses on their farm growing up). Granny's middle name is Lillian. Clara is also named after one of Brad's Great-Grandma (I need to get some family stories about her) and my Grandpa Feine's mother was Clara, too. I spent quite a bit of time with her as a little girl. She had a German accent, always wore a dress with a apron over it and my mom has tons of stories about staying over night and her Grandma's with their cousins. I love hearing them. My Aunt Denise brought Granny for the visit and they showered us with gifts for Clara, yummy lunch, a McDonald's gift card, candy and Aunt Denise's ever famous cookies! She made frogs, flowers and pink baby feet.
