First Month

I can't believe my baby girl is a month old. And we've already seen her change before our eyes. It makes me so teary-eyed. She started smiling at 2 weeks old. Brad was the first to receive those precious smiles. I love those smiling moments they are the best part of my day and I wish I could just bottle her up like that forever. She is also filling out her newborn clothes...a change from nothing seeming to fit on her. And she is fitting into her carseat better. Although she still can't peek out the whole of the carseat cover, which I'm sure is why she is not a big fan of going places in it. She got to her 1st hockey game at 6 days old and Braeden even scored a goal for her. She also got to help me teach Sunday School one Sunday and went to Daddy's office Christmas Party, too. She loves to lay awake on her back all stretched out. We had to invest in a little activity gym thing, so the her siblings could respect her space when she lays under it. She is a trooper about being toted from rink to rink to big brother's hockey games. We hope she never has anymore illness scares. She is weighing in at 8 lbs 11 ounces and 22 inches long. The nurses all think she will outgrow all her clothes length wise before she does width wise. (Sounds like Miss Lexie)Happy first month, Clara Lillian! We are so glad you are part of our family!
